Vogue #015

The feeling of freedom is synonymous with summer, and this year, we’re finding it most vividly at festivals and through music. That’s exactly why the cover star of our latest issue is the most authentic presence on the regional music scene—Senidah. The entire Balkans come together in her, finding a unique voice through her sound.

Alongside her, a wave of fresh names is making today’s scene more diverse than ever: Macha Ravel, Tam, Masayah, Iva Lorens, Gaja Prestor, Miach, Zoi, and Mlada Beba, young solo artists with whom we spoke about the new sound they’re shaping and the space they’ve claimed as they open a new chapter in regional music.

From there, we take a step further, talking to SebastiAn, the Paris-based musician quickly taking over the global stage, about Belgrade as an eternal muse, the blend of the brutal and the tender, and his collaboration with Saint Laurent. Meanwhile, Lena Dunham reveals the inspiration behind her new hit series Too Much.
